Dr. Melanie Olson – Veterinarian, Tucson Arizona
Born in rural Quebec, Canada, Melanie Olson grew up on a dairy farm where she grew to appreciate animals and realize her calling to be a veterinarian. After graduating from the University of Montreal in 2000, Melanie moved to Phoenix for an internship at a busy emergency and surgery specialty center where she fell in love with the Southwest and has been here ever since working at emergency and general practices, including a stint at Rosemont Pet Clinic from 2004 to 2007. Thrilled to be back home at Rosemont, she takes pride and comfort in the fact that Rosemont Pet Clinic is locally owned and is a place where patients, clients and team members are treated like family and with respect. Our team’s synergy and happiness translate into a positive experience for our clients and their fur babies. She feels privileged to be able to form strong bonds with clients and enjoys helping them understand the examination findings and treatment plans, whether it be for preventive care or workup of a serious illness. It is Dr. Olson’s priority to partner with pet caregivers and the Rosemont staff to develop the care plan that works best for each family with the shared goal of the pet’s wellness.
When not at work, Melanie enjoys spending time outdoors tending to her beloved desert plants, running, or reading. Her home is shared with her wonderful husband, Shane, and beautiful fur babies, Abby-Lou and Petunia.
Donna – Hospital Administrator
Donna has been in Tucson for over 40 years, attending High School, Pima Community College and the University of Arizona. She earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. Donna worked as an engineer and manager for over 15 years before she and John decided to become partners in Rosemont Pet Clinic. This was a great move for them and Donna enjoys working with John, the Rosemont staff and being a small business owner.
When not at the office or working as a consultant, Donna loves spending time with her family; two children, relatives, friends and pets. She enjoys being outdoors, riding her Harley, hiking, cooking, crafting, reading and playing rock band.
Brooke – Office Manager and Certified Veterinary Technician
Brooke, a native of Tucson, has been a veterinary technician at Rosemont Pet Clinic since 2003. Because of her intense love of and compassion for animals, excellent technician skills and amazing ability to keep the clinic organized, Brooke is the heartbeat of Rosemont. She shares her life with over a dozen dogs and two goats. Her dedication to the pet community has lead her to be involved with local rescue organizations where she has helped save the lives of hundreds of animals.
While not tending to animals, Brooke can be found enjoying softball, poker, cliff jumping, tubing down the river, riding quads, or hanging out with lots of friends.
Mike - Veterinary Technician
Mike was born in California and grew up in Rio Rico where he graduated from Rio Rico High. He joined Rosemont Pet Clinic in 2013 with his veterinary Technician certification and general studies associates degree from Pima Community College. Mike is an animal lover and his family has dogs, snakes, fish and a bird. He is very active and enjoys almost every sport out there (especially baseball) along with outdoor activities like camping, hiking and fishing. When not at Rosemont, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Helping people and making them smile is something he strives for everyday.
